LEONOR FINI (Argentina 1907 - 1996 France)
Listed Surrealist painter, costume and stage
designer, author and graphic artist.

DIMANCHE APRES MIDI is one of Fini's most famous
graphic works and the oil painting of this image
was her favorite. She took it with her when she
travelled to her country house in St. Dye sur Loire
each summer and back to Paris in the fall. The
silkscreen was published by Ariane Lancell -
Art and Valor, Paris in a very small edition of
100 with a small number of proofs for the artist
and publisher. Printed to edges of paper.

28 X 21", signed lower right, with cat embossed
seal of authenticity.
